Elderly cats are increasing in number thanks to better diets and healthcare. This course will present current recommendations for preventative healthcare with information on which illnesses are most common in older cats and how to detect these at an earlier stage.There will be plenty of tips on how to get the most out of your history, physical examination and initial assessment of patients.

  • Understanding what illnesses are most common in senior and geriatric cats
  • Performing a thorough and cat-friendly history and examination of the older cat
  • Collecting blood and urine samples and performing an initial urinalysis
  • Assessing blood pressure in consious patients
