Obesity is a factor in a number of feline health problems, including skin, urinary tract and metabolic disease. Cats seem to respond quite poorly to weight loss programmes, and the newly developed obesity drugs are not suitable for this species. This four part course will cover a range of information that can be used not only to improve the success of feline weight loss programmes, but also to improve cat welfare and owner compliance.

Topics to be covered include:

-Normal feline behaviour

-Altering owner motivation to improve acceptance and compliance

-Environmental and behavioural modification to increase feline weight loss.
