Echocardiology Practical

About the course

Join us for this practical hands on workshop in association with BCF Technology.

Numbers on this course will be limited to allow personalised “hands-on” guidance during the practical echocardiography sessions. There will be a mixture of lectures, practicals and interactive echo-based diagnosis and monitoring of cases.

The practical sessions will be tailored to each delegate’s experience and level of echocardiography skill and to their individual learning outcomes. Both right sided views (2D, M-mode assessment) and colour flow and spectral Doppler echocardiography, mainly from left sided views, will be covered. Case examples will be reviewed to assess delegates’ ability to interpret images, and to identify when further information needs to be gleaned. At the end of the session, each delegate should be able to undertake reliable acquisition of images, echo measuring, reporting and interpretation.

This workshop is suitable for vets in first opinion practice wishing to refresh and improve their skills in use of Echocardiology and would be of particular interest to those working towards an RCVS CertAVP in Medicine or Cardiology.
