About the course

During this one-day workshop, the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to oncology cases will be discussed using seminars, case-based examples, and a practical session. The day will start with presentations discussing the different diagnostic techniques available in the work-up of oncology cases, including how to make the best of histological reports and interpretation of newer molecular techniques such as flow cytometry and PARR. This will be followed by an introduction to oncological cytology and a hands-on practical session where you will have the opportunity to examine and interpret cytological specimens using case examples from the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, under the guidance of experienced specialists. The progression and treatment of these cases will then be discussed.
