Managing Difficult Situations

This new one-day course aims to share tips and techniques to help you deal with those difficult situations that can be all too familiar in the emotive world of veterinary practice. Whether you are a clinician or a member of the customer care team, being tackled by an angry owner about her unexpectedly high bill or facing the wrath of a particularly vocal client is as unpleasant as it is common. We'll show you how you can help defuse even the most difficult situation and help you put in place protocols to avoid future flare-ups.  The course includes a DiSC profile for each delegate. DiSC is a personal assessment tool used to improve work productivity, teamwork and communication. DiSC will help you to:

  • Increase your self-knowledge
  • Learn how you respond to conflict
  • Find out what your motivations are
  • See what causes you stress and how you solve problems
  • Aid better teamwork and reduce team conflict
  • Develop stronger sales skills
  • Identify and respond to different customer styles
  • Understand the dispositions and priorities of other team members
  • Become more well-rounded and effective leaders
