About the course

This one-day course will explore the challenge of the veterinary context from a human and animal perspective. The Mind Matters initiative from the RCVS has highlighted the challenges of veterinary practice work and the need for us to be aware of the potential impact on human mental health. It is also important to remember that the veterinary context can create emotional challenges for our patients and optimising the veterinary experience necessitates an understanding of the behavioural needs of the different species that we treat. This CPD event will offer the opportunity to discuss ways in which the behavioural consequences of emotional challenge in animals can be an added pressure for veterinary staff and consider preventative behavioural medicine as a factor in ensuring a more positive working environment as well as enhancing animal welfare.
This event is for veterinary practice staff only. The event is priced at £249.00 for the entire day's CPD. If you book before the 31st August  2017 you are eligiable for an early bird discount, making the CPD day only £199.00. Please e mail simon@brvp.co.uk for details of how to book. Speakers include: Sarah Heath BVSc DipECAWBM(BM) CCAB MRCVS RCVS and European Veterinary Specialist in Behavioural Medicine (Companion Animals) and Carolyne Crowe BVetMed (Hons), BSc, Dip Coaching, MRCVS
