This course will focus particularly on the management of neoplasia of the head including the skin, nasal and oral cavities, to help you to gain a good understanding of the behaviour of these tumours and their appropriate management. We'll look at both simple and advanced surgical procedures for the resection and reconstructions of these tumours, together with the surgical management of non-neoplastic diseases of these areas.

What you'll learn:

  • Mandibulectomy
  • Maxillectomy
  • Reconstructive surgery of the head including skin and cheek
  • Rhinotomy
  • Surgery of the nasal planum
  • Behaviour, staging and management of tumours of the head
  • Supportive procedures for facial surgery including feeding tubes and tracheostomy
