Complete the Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency & Critical Care to achieve an industry recognised, City & Guilds Level 4 qualification in small animal emergency and critical care nursing.

Who's it for?

Any RCVS registered veterinary nurses or equivalent who would like to develop their interest in ECC nursing.  Candidates should have at least one years post qualification, small animal work-based experience and ideally be working in a predominantly small animal practice with a good and varied case load.

When & Where?

There are two annual intakes in April & October and it's a distance learning course delivered via our e-learning portal Moodle.

What can I expect?

The skills and knowledge to enhance patient care in ECC cases and an industry recognised Level 4 qualification accredited by City & Guilds.  The option to expand your career path to satisfy your interest in emergency and critical care as well as being an integral part of ensuring high standards of care are being delivered across the profession.

Coursework takes 18 months to complete.  Consisting of 6 core units and accompanying end of unit assignments with tutor support provided throughout the course.  Final award of the Certificate is dependant on successful completion of the three final assessment papers.
