About the course

A series of 6 videos presented by Jon Wray.

Frustrated by cardiac patients? Troublesome ECGs? Problems with radiographic interpretation? Although echocardiography is an incredibly useful tool in defining the aetiology of cardiac disease, its use is complicated and requires very frequent performance in order to gain the requisite skills. Furthermore the basics of a good history and physical examination, and interpretation of thoracic radiographs and ECGs are more useful in determining the basic questions– does this patient have cardiac disease and how bad is it? This series of videos, comprising a mixture of case-based examples, quizzes and teaching aims to concentrate on the basics with a common-sense approach to practical cardiology.

Topics to be covered include:

-Taking a thorough history for cardiac patients
-ECGS- a whistle-stop tour
-Radiographic interpretation for cardiac patients
-Case-based examples to consolidate theory
