About the course

Tutored by Caroline Pearson MA VetMB MRCVS CertRP MSc CMgr MCMI.

Recruitment of new team members within veterinary practice is becoming increasingly difficult. The days of placing an ad and waiting for the applications to arrive have long gone.

In the current climate, the temptation is to employ whoever applies for the vacancy. Yet, this rarely results in a successful outcome. How do you know what you are looking for? How do you go about finding them?

This is the first of a 2-part course, where we will develop the recruitment skills you need to identify the right person for your team.

In Part 1, we will examine practice purpose and how this can affect finding the best person for the role, before turning to the practical aspects of recruitment.

You will learn how to complete a job analysis and plan and run an efficient and effective recruitment campaign, including how to produce a job advertising copy to attract attention.

Through self-reflection you will identify areas for further learning and investigation within your practice to ensure you get the most from the course. And we will be here to help you along the way!
