The Professional Foot Trimming course is held in conjunction with the Dairy Training Centre (DTC) in Friesland Holland.  DTC is the world renowned centre of excellence in cattle foot trimming.  The 4 day professional course is taught by DTC head instructor, Pieter Kloosterman. The course includes an in depth theoretical lecture on the anatomy and the principals behind corrective trimming to re-balance the cows foot, by shape and size.  Common causes of lameness and foot disease will be discussed in depth followed by practical workshop using cadaver feet. Students also have the opportunity to use hydraulic crushes and computerised recording systems, whilst getting to grips with routine and corrective trimming on live cows. We also arrange for daily speakers from respected industry professionals.
