About the course

Every Vet and Vet Nurse should have the opportunity to be trained in forensic disciplines to give them the knowledge to support welfare and cruelty cases, and to be confident in recording information correctly in Court.

The Forensic Process is the first and only CPD Veterinary Forensic training course specifically for Vets and Nurses.  It has been designed to help recognise potential welfare concerns and prepares participants for the possibility of forensic involvement in animal abuse and welfare cases.

The Animal Welfare legislation is changing, and the need for this training is increasingly vital to help secure convictions.

The course explores the difficult subject of non-accidental injury to animals, whilst providing a support system for referrals and confidentiality breaches, with real-time access to forensic and veterinary experts.

Learning from these experts participants will explore how to gather and preserve appropriate forensic samples, and how to document contemporaneous actions in note, diagram and photographic forms.  Designed for use in a busy Practice, this course provides downloadable Court-compliant forms, allowing you to manage all aspects of an investigation, whilst maintaining the utmost care and consideration to the animals.

These unique courses are online and start on the first of every month.  Participants complete the course at their own pace over a 2 month period.
