Modern Approaches to the Horse With Multi-limb Lameness

This course is aimed at the clinician undertaking more complex lameness and poor performance investigations in sport and competition horses. The course will cover the approach to the diagnosis of lameness in the horse with multiple sites of lameness. The course will include how to recognise which limbs are involved and diagnostic analgesic techniques of the forelimbs and hindlimbs will be reviewed.  The role of diagnostic imaging in such cases will be discussed. Lameness arising from neck pathology and how to recognise and manage it will also be covered.

  • Interpreting diagnostic analgesia in the forelimbs and hindlimbs in these cases
  • The role of diagnostic imaging in investigating complex lameness
  • Recognising and managing neck-related lameness
