Our Exotics Bandaging Angels Matthew Rendle RVN and Sam Ashfield RVN will be presenting the day alongside the renowned specialist Dr Neil Forbes BVetMed, FRCVS, Recognised Specialist Zoo and Wildlife (Avian) and Georgie Hollis BSc.
Subjects to be covered on the day in the form of lectures will be; Cutting edge wound healing (Georgie Hollis), A comparative assessment of wound healing in common exotic species (Dr Neil Forbes), The necessity for an holistic approach to exotic wound healing (Matthew Rendle), Antimicrobials and their use in open wound management (Georgie Hollis), The challenges of wound management in the zoo environment (Sam Ashfield) and First Aid trauma wound management (Dr Neil Forbes).
There will be 2 practical sessions in the afternoon; the first focusing on Management of Bumblefoot, and the second on Chelonian shell trauma and reconstruction, providing a ‘hands on’ experience for all delegates.
Spaces will be limited to a maximum of 30 delegates. Open to veterinary nurses and Veterinary Surgeons.
