About the course

DAY 1: Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) on Cadaver

Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) involves advancement of the tibial tuberosity such that the straight patella tendon is perpendicular to the tibial plateau. This neutralises cranial tibial thrust during normal loading to stabilise a cruciate deficient stifle. In this practical based course learn how to perform TTA using a forkless plating system and cuttable TTA cages.

DAY 2: Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO) on Cadaver

Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy TPLO is the most popular technique used b referral surgeons. It  involves an osteotomy and rotation of the proximal tibia to flatten the tibial plateau neutralising cranial tibial thrust during normal loading to stabilise a cruciate deficient stifle. In the course learn how to perform TPLO using a locking TPLO Fusion plate. Learn about the complications with the surgery and how to avoid them and also get the chance to practice on a real cadaver leg.
