Chronic otitis is a common problem of dogs that often is a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. Learn how to effectively manage chronic otitis. This lecture covers identifying and controlling the primary and secondary causes and predisposing and perpetuating factors. Emphasis is placed on diagnosis and treatment of chronic otitis by developing a complete plan that involves appropriate diagnostic testing and use proper cleaning, topical and systemic treatments. Learn how to treat and reverse progressive pathologic responses to avoid treatment failures or recurrences.
