About the course

This course reviews skills required of a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care. He or she should have an understanding of the indications for a procedure, the equipment necessary to perform the procedure, how the procedure is performed, complications and associated post procedure nursing care. This discussion addresses four procedures, multi-lumen catheter placement, intraosseous catheter placement, thoracentesis, and chest tube placement and management.
