This is a series of theory and practical videos with Philip Lhermette giving an introduction to veterinary laparoscopy and the laparoscopic bitch spay.

This series provides a practical introduction to laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery with the emphasis on basic laparoscopic techniques that can be performed in first opinion practice. The advantages and disadvantages of minimally invasive procedures are discussed and there is a brief overview of instrumentation and instrument handling techniques followed by a more detailed discussion of laparoscopic principles, the approach to the abdomen and laparoscopic organ biopsies. The use of electrosurgery and other haemostatic techniques in minimally invasive surgery is also covered followed by detailed instruction on laparoscopic ovariectomy and ovariohysterectomy.
