Join us for a day of learning and fun as we review methods for interpreting ultrasound images. There will be two lectures covering topics that will include:

 

    • Use of Ultrasound in first opinion practice ‘FAST’ scans, Abdominal scans
    • Tips for obtaining diagnostic quality studies
    • The most common problems people have
    • The chance to bring your own machine along.

 

In the practical session you will have the opportunity to try out the basic techniques discussed in the lecture. The course facilitator will be available to answer individual questions during this time.

This workshop is suitable for vets in first opinion practice wishing to get to grips with use of basic ultrasound and would be of particular interest to those working towards an RCVS CertAVP in Medicine or Surgery.
