Talk by John Fishwick MA VetMB DCHP DipECBHM MRCVS.

Bovine TB, AMR, Brexit, Surveillance, non-stun slaughter! – with all these ever mounting issues challenging the livestock sector what does the hard working veterinary surgeon do to keep ahead of the game? Current BVA President, John Fishwick, will look at some of these issues and the challenges facing the profession. He will also be pleased to take question about what the BVA does and is doing for its members, and is expecting to be given a hard time!

John is a Senior Lecturer at the Royal Veterinary College and was formerly Head of the Department of Production and Population Health as well as Head of the Farm Animal Health and Production Group at RVC but has recently stood down to allow him more time to fulfil his BVA duties. He can no longer claim to do any real clinical work but is an RCVS and European Bovine Specialist. He was BCVA president in 2010.

A hot meal will be served prior to the start of the talk at 7.15pm prompt with the talk commencing at 7.45pm.
