About the course

The day will look at common conditions of the abdomen that require urgent surgery. A thorough physical examination and history is essential in these challenging cases, followed by a logical plan of investigation and management. 

Learning Objectives Delegates should leave feeling confident in their approach to stabilising, diagnosing and managing cases presenting as an acute abdominal crisis General approach to patients with abdominal surgical emergencies  Stabilisation of the emergency patient Appropriate techniques to diagnose the need for surgery Identify common conditions which will require emergency abdominal surgery.
