About the course

There is a lot of confusion and misunderstanding surrounding the Dangerous Dogs Act and many owners have the mistaken belief that is only relevant to certain breeds. While section one is breed specific legislation there are other sections of the Act which are relevant to every dog in the country. Lack of awareness of how the DDA affects their own dog leads many owners to take risks which makes them and their dogs vulnerable to prosecution. This webinar will discuss the DDA as it relates to every dog and every owner and give advice as to how veterinary practice can increase awareness in their clients. It will discuss ways in which owners can protect themselves and their pets and also give advice about what to do if a prosecution is brought.
