About the course

Canine pyothorax can be a challenging condition to recognize due to the non-specific clinical signs that many dogs will present with. A prompt diagnosis and timely stabilization of these patients on presentation are both key steps towards successful management. The decision to proceed with conservative or surgical management is not always straightforward and the literature regarding treatment options can be confusing.

This evening aims to review canine pyothorax with an emphasis on the appropriate stabilization of these patients and the treatment options available.
