About the course

The countdown has started and organisation of the 2nd Cattle Lameness Academy (CLA) Seminar is in full swing! The CLA Seminar will be held on the 28thMarch 2018 in Somerset.

The CLA is dedicated to the improvement of lameness in cattle through the application of ‘best practice’ originating from peer reviewed academic research, evidence based medicine and many combined years of experience. Bringing together specialists in the field of lameness the CLA consistently delivers Research, Training, Consultancy and bespoke services (including foot trimming) to the agricultural industry.

The CLA Seminar warmly invites vets, foot trimmers, farmers, researchers and anyone working within the agricultural industry with an interest in lameness. We hope to build on the success of the first seminar held back in 2016. Bookings are now open; please follow the link below.

Our speakers will present the latest research findings working to reduce lameness in cattle. A key theme is to introduce a younger generation of lameness enthusiasts as well as exploring the essential ways that vets, foot trimmers and farmers can work together to reduce lameness. We hope that you will agree we have some fantastic speakers lined up who will provide plenty of stimulation for discussion while at the same time providing practical take home tips. We hope you will join us to contribute to the discussion!

It is an exciting and progressive time in the world of combatting lameness and as a new generation of lameness experts emerges the CLA will be striving to ensure we accomplish our philosophy of providing a link for ‘Research into Practice’.
