About the course

The single biggest risk factor for selection of antimicrobial resistance is repeated courses of broad-spectrum systemic antibiotics. There is growing pressure to reduce the use of systemic, especially broad-spectrum, antibiotics. Topical therapy should be considered wherever possible, and is now the first-line treatment of choice for otitis, surface and superficial pyodermas, and localised infections. This webinar will discuss when topical therapy is appropriate, effective products, and how to interpret susceptibility tests when considering topical therapy.
