Toxicological emergencies are very common within veterinary practice and early treatment is often vital in gaining a successful outcome for these patients.

This course will look at dealing with these cases; from the first stage of advice during the initial telephone call to practice, through to the treatment of the most commonly seen poisonings including:• Medications commonly used when dealing with toxicities• Gastrointestinal decontamination • Commonly used emetics• Commonly ingested poisons including paracetamol, NSAIDs, chocolate, anticoagulants and more!
