About the course

Nurses play a vital role in owner education and support through long-term illnesses. A successful outcome often depends on attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the disease process. The role of the nurse in management of a number of common chronic feline illnesses will be covered in depth.

This course is aimed at all veterinary nurses keen to improve their feline medical nursing; the course will include:

  • The nurse’s role in managing common chronic diseases; Idiopathic Cystitis, Chronic Kidney Disease, Hyperthyroidism, Diabetes Mellitus
  • Advice on management of Osteoarthritis and Cognitive Dysfunction
  • Nursing the anorexic cat
