About the course
Rabbits are complex creatures with regards both their nursing and species requirements. It is so important to fully understand exactly what a rabbit is, in order to ensure they receive the nursing care which best meets their special requirements.
This half day course aims to underpin your knowledge and will focus on the following learning outcomes:
- Biosecurity in the veterinary practice – infectious diseases and how to prevent spread
- What is a rabbit – an overview of dental, sensory, digestive and musculoskeletal systems and how this relates to nursing rabbits
- Clinical techniques – IV catheter placement, blood sampling, syringe feeding
