About the course

Are you a nurse with an interest in surgery? Chances are you've heard about "Schedule III" - but what exactly is it, and what does it let you do? What does this mean to you, the veterinary nurse?

In addition to the above, this heavily practical course will cover a number of procedures that can be carried out by the registered veterinary nurse. It is an excellent foundation for nurses who want to expand their surgical techniques, making them an invaluable part of any veterinary surgical team. It also highlights the legal aspects on which minor surgeries are allowed to be performed.

Delegates will take part in a suturing workshop and will be allowed to perform a practical operation under the course tutor's supervision. (Note: live animals and cadavers are NOT used on this course).

The course is designed to be very integrated teaching, during which delegates are encouraged to take an active part in the day's sessions.
