Orthopaedic techniques are becoming part of everyday modern veterinary practice and the nursing of these patients is a vital part of their recovery.

This course is aimed at giving you, the veterinary nurse, a better understanding of orthopaedics by discussing the common orthopaedic conditions, what they are, how to treat them and how those treatments work.

We will highlight the role of the orthopaedic nurse at each stage of case management starting with an interactive look at the orthopaedic exam and how to detect gait abnormalities; before moving on to the methods of fracture fixation, how they work and types of equipment.
