About the course

This level 2 course is aimed at veterinary surgeons with some experience of using ultrasound in small animal practice and who wish to improve their scanning skills and increase their confidence in ultrasound investigation and diagnosis.  Identification of smaller abdominal structures including the pancreas and adrenals will be covered as well as functional assessment of the heart and the approach to performing ultrasound guided sampling techniques.

The lecture content will be supported by a series of cardiac and abdominal ultrasound cases for interpretation and discussion. There will also be small group practical scanning sessions, giving delegates the opportunity to practice scanning live dogs and phantom specimens will be available for the practice of FNA / biopsy techniques.
