About the course

This two-day practical course will help you to deal with more complex joint surgery. In guided hands on sessions you will practice arthrodesis of the carpal and tarsal joint, surgeries for hip, elbow and shoulder luxation as well as treatment of elbow dysplasia including FCP, UAP and elbow incongruity.

By the end of this course delegates should have an understanding of:

• When and how to perform arthrodesis of the carpal and tarsal joint using bone plates

• Open reduction and surgical stabilisation of luxations of the shoulder, elbow, hip and stifle joint

• Surgical options to treat elbow dysplasia (Subtotal coronoid osteotomy, screw fixation of UAP, proximal dynamic ulna osteotomy to treat elbow incongruity)
